Near the end of December winter begins –
Brr! It is getting quite cold.
The temperature drops (as leaves already have),
And the year is growing quite old.
Through January winter continues –
Brrr! It is really cold now.
There sometimes is snow, maybe sleet and ice;
We go as the weather will allow.
Winter remains through February –
Brrr! Days are of the coldest sort.
We seldom will want to be outside,
But at least this month is short.
In March the end of winter arrives –
Ahh! Now that’s not so bad.
Life is returning to growing things;
The flowers and warmth make me glad!

Winter is good for snowmen, but not for me. I'm always ready for spring and warmer weather to arrive. Do you like winter?

Love it! Exactly how winter feels. :)
I love winter. Here in Oz, it's meant to be summer but we've been getting chilly wet days a lot and it's brilliant!
Cute poem!
Our weather is yo-yoing. We've had warm spring like weather and freezing weather. The plants are getting confused. :(
I am sooo not a winter person! I agree - the best thing about February is that it's short!
I like winter for a while, but come February I'm tired of it. Last year I stopped shoveling snow when we got to February. My poor hubby did it all by himself all the way until the snow left in April. It was a long winter last year.
I like to *look* at winter - does that count? I used to looooove winter and then my body grew up, so I cant enjoy being in it as much anymore, snow is quite lovely to look at as are the stars on a cold clear night! Thanks so much for leaving a comment on my blog yesterday. I love hearing from fellow writers!
