My friend, Donna Shepherd, is the author of many delightful picture books. A new one has recently been published by Guardian Angel Publishing,
Where is Salami? It is another fun book done in rhyme that Donna does so well, and is filled with Jack Foster's energetic and expressive illustrations. The little boy telling the story can't understand why his sister, Beth, keeps getting so excited. Just because his pet snake, Salami, is loose in the house! She may very well have more reasons than that to be excited since there seems to be a mouse, spider and various other pets slipping around the house and adding to Beth's fright. As if the adorable rhymes, dynamic illustrations and various pets weren't enough to keep a child's interest, there is also a hidden picture on each page to be discovered.

I love the added interactivity of finding the hidden picture on each page. The book sounds great.
Hidden pictures are so much fun. I used to love reading the Arthur picture books to my children because Marc Brown would hide his kids' names in the pictures - we loved finding them!

Checking back in. Thanks for all the comments. Sylvia - that was all Jack on the cover. When he sent it to me, I thought it was upside down, of course! Eye-catching though, and I love that - especially in a children's book. Susan, that's a neat story. At a book reading, the kids were finding hidden objects that even I hadn't seen in my own books. lol!
