Get yourself moving,
go outside and play.
It's good to exercise
each and every day.
Go for a walk,
hop, skip and run,
play a lively game
and have a little fun!
It's good for your body
to stretch and move.
Getting exercise can
help your health improve.
So don't just sit around
and waste the day away.
Get up and get going,
make the most of your day!

hi miss connie! been missing you. that a really neat poem for getting out and doing some stuff for keeping your body real healthy. i love running and climbing trees. maybe you could make a cool little picture book for kids for exercising. it could have that poem in it. im happy your back!
...hugs from lenny
Thank you, Lenny, it's so nice to be missed. I've been on vacation and enjoying time with relatives I don't get to see very often. At least your birthday post was up for a long time! Glad you like the poem. Hugs to you too!
(smile) I've just gotten back into fitness routine after the "summer fun." I go for either two or three hours a day M-F and then walk the dog several afternoons too (depending on the weather). I figure at some point my body will say, "Oh, I was meaning to let you drop twenty pounds!" and Bam! I'll get on the scales and be twenty pounds lighter. :) (I can dream....)
Sharon, it sounds like you're doing well with the exercise. Keep up the good work and your dream is likely to come true!
I love this! What a fun way to get our kiddos (and us) moving!!!
Thanks, Alisa! It's good to find fun ways of motivating kids (and adults)!
Very cute! And I love the pictures you put with it. :)
Great poem, and a good way to get kids moving.
Warmly,
